The Italian-language quota neve<\/strong> magazine is 46 years old (it was first published in September 1979) with an informative purpose: basically to inform ski area managers (especially those who were small at the time and not very inclined to leave their area during the season) of what was happening elsewhere, to keep abreast of customer expectations and technical developments.<\/p>\n

Distribution was always free of charge for the facilities and people in the area (ski area), believing that valid information would provoke interest and visibility for a magazine that arrived automatically and free of charge.<\/p>\n

This approach has been maintained over time, when the majority of similar magazines have passed into the hands of advertising agencies (news few, company releases many).<\/p>\n

The market has increasingly shifted from a purely national beginning to having a worldwide connotation with a few major players with an international focus.<\/p>\n

This internalisation of the technical offer, the existence of the possibilities of the internet and more recently the rise of artificial intelligence (in particular reliable translations) have suggested a change and a widening of the spread of snow share (\u201cit looks interesting but we don’t understand the language\u201d).<\/p>\n

The website www.quotaneve.it\u00a0has been opened where quota neve can be read and downloaded not only in Italian, but also in English, German and French.<\/p>\n

It is not an international magazine but a translation of the Italian version of quota neve which also contains internationally valid information that is often difficult or scarce to access. A kind of press kit available to those who manage and\/or work in ski area development.<\/p>\n

The distribution of the international (non-print) part is based (at least for now) on about 6,000 email addresses, selected on the 5 continents mainly ski lift management companies, which will be notified, every new issue (5 per year), of the publication of the new issue via an email message with the possibility of directly accessing the reading or downloading it.<\/p>\n
